Do I need a doctor's note for cancer-adapted treatments?
There is no requirement for a guest to provide a doctor's note to receive cancer-adapted treatments.
Instead of a medical note, the venue utilises a specific protocol where therapists are trained to adapt services based on a consultation and a series of specific questions.
The Consultation Process
When a guest indicates a history of cancer on their consultation form, therapists are instructed to follow these steps:
Our Therapists are trained to reassure guests that they have the expertise to adapt treatments for various medical conditions.
The therapist will ask a few short questions regarding how long the guest has been clear of cancer, whether they are currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and if they have had surgery in the last six months.
Based on the answers, the therapist will either proceed with the booked treatment or offer alternative, soothing treatments (such as a VOYA Calm Seas massage or specific facials) and adapt techniques to avoid surgery sites or account for skin sensitivity.
