Health and Safety

Barons Eden maintains strict health and safety terms and conditions to ensure the well-being of all guests. These policies range from age restrictions and medical considerations to facility usage and conduct.

Age and Identification Requirements
  • Facility Use: The minimum age for guests to use the Spa facilities is 16 years old. Guests may be asked for photo ID upon entry and will be turned away if they are underage.
  • Treatments: Guests must be at least 18 years old to receive a spa treatment, with the exception of manicures and pedicures in the Parlour, which are available to those aged 16 and older.
  • Booking Security: If a booking is made within 72 hours of arrival, guests are required to provide photo identification that matches the card used at the time of booking.
Medical and Dietary Considerations

Our kitchen handles nuts, seeds, and other allergens. While we take steps to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any of our products are safe to consume for people with allergies.

  • Dietary Requirements: Guests must notify the Reservations Team of any dietary requirements or life-threatening restrictions in advance. If a guest fails to provide notice and the venue cannot accommodate the restriction, Barons Eden cannot assume responsibility for the resulting inconvenience.
  • Cancer Treatment Policy: The venue has a detailed protocol for guests currently undergoing or recovering from cancer. Therapists are trained to adapt treatments based on specific health questions regarding surgery sites, skin sensitivity, and current medical treatments.
  • Treatment Exclusions: Certain specialist treatments, such as the VOYA Organic Hydrating Body Scrub and the Lazy Days Detox Seaweed Bath, are not recommended for those within one year of finishing chemotherapy or radiotherapy due to heightened skin sensitivity and strong detoxifying effects.
Fitness and Activity Safety
  • Class Attendance: Guests must arrive at least 10 minutes before a fitness class begins to set up equipment. Late entries are strictly prohibited for Health and Safety reasons.
  • Assumption of Risk: Any exercise or class activity is undertaken at the guest's own risk. The venue does not accept liability for injuries or other occurrences during these sessions.
  • Attire: Guests must bring a gym bag and trainers if they intend to use the fitness facilities. Flip-flops are required for walking around the spa areas.
Facility Usage and Guest Conduct
  • Smoking and Vaping: Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the building and in company vehicles. Designated sheltered outdoor areas are provided for smokers.
  • Alcohol: Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol onto the premises; all drinks must be purchased directly from the venue.
  • Outdoor Facilities: Outdoor areas may be closed during certain weather conditions to ensure guest safety and maintain appropriate facility temperatures.
  • Crowding: To ensure a safe and tranquil environment, groups are requested not to congregate in the same areas or use the same facilities simultaneously to prevent crowding.
  • Accessibility: Eden Hall offers personal evacuation plans upon arrival for guests with accessibility needs. While many facilities have ramps and wheelchair access, note that Eden Hall does not have a pool hoist.
